During May half term, a group of 12 students from each partnership school will take part in an intensive 5-day training course to achieve their National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ). Hosted at Christleton Sports Centre, the course combines both theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for ensuring safety in and around swimming pools.

Throughout the week, students will engage in a variety of learning activities including water-based rescue techniques, CPR and first aid training, and poolside supervision. Each day was structured to gradually build confidence and competence, with hands-on sessions in the pool complemented by classroom-based learning.
