Laura Bates was extremely powerful and really inspired me to fight more for feminism- I already supported it but her speech really sparked a fire.

Entering the Chester Regatta as a rowing squad after a year of learning something so new was an amazing experience. I felt very proud to be part of it. 

I was able to add it to my CV and university application, and eventually got a part-time job as a lifeguard
